Axis is attending CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas for the first time this year from January 7 to 10, 2020 to show its expertise in the field of 3D printing.
CES is an international trade fair which was created in 1967. The 1st edition brought together around 200 exhibitors in New York, while in 2019 this event hosted more than 4,400 companies specializing in electronic technologies intended for the general public. Each year since its creation, the show allows professionals (170,000 in 2019) and individuals to discover new technologies with many themes such as health, the environment, telephony, etc.
As Axis is a partner of many activity sectors in the field of rapid prototyping, we have the possibility of helping various companies to validate their projects before fully realizing them.
Axis is participating this year in the world dedicated to the automobile on stand CP-4 (Tech East, LVCC, Central Plaza) in Convention Center which is dedicated to French business thanks to the support of the New Aquitaine region #TeamNaqui. Indeed, Axis has been working for many years with many clients linked to this French or European sector. So it made sense for us to try to further expand our customer base across the Atlantic by showing the skills we have.
Stereolithography is often favored for making optical parts like car headlights. This is possible thanks to the clearvue resin or the prototherm resin which allow to obtain transparent crystal parts thanks to a varnish or red tinted.
Powder sintering rather makes it possible to make technical parts requiring more resistance such as chutes, mirrors, parts linked to the dashboard, steering wheels etc.
Vacuum casting is also used to make lighthouses, particularly lenses in small series. This process is actually to be favored for making pieces in several copies because it is a slightly longer manufacturing process which requires a master model in stereolithography then a silicone mold to then obtain the final pieces by mass tinted duplication.
Axis also has some of these partners present on CES as Robotics industry with whom we have developed their Reachy project: an interactive robot which can perform a maximum of tasks according to your request.
Axis therefore hopes that this event will be rich in meetings and new partnerships. If you are ever present at the show, do not hesitate to come and see us, it will be our pleasure to discuss with you !
