HP Multi Jet Fusion: the 3D printing revolution

The latest innovation in 3D printing has arrived at Axis!

An innovative technology for rapid prototyping which, like Sintering, is made up of a Polyamide powder (PA 12), the only difference being that no laser is used to polymerize it. It’s an additive manufacturing process called
Multi Jet Fusion HP
“which builds models in successive layers of 0.1 mm.

This new machine enables us to produce printed parts more accurately, more quickly and with optimum mechanical and thermal properties. One of the many advantages of this HP Multi Jet Fusion machine is that no shrinkage is required on your prototypes. Your dimensional expectations will therefore be met.

The Multi Jet Fusion: explanation

An innovative technology for rapid prototyping that uses Polyamide (PA 12) powder in additive manufacturing: Multi Jet Fusion!

Multi Jet Fusion ” is a technology similar to Powder Sintering. The main differences are that there’s no laser to polymerize the powder, and that the successive layers are 0.08 mm thinner than the Powder Sintering you already know.
This new machine enables us to produce printed parts more accurately, more quickly and with optimum mechanical and thermal properties. One of the many advantages of this printer is that no shrinkage is required on your prototypes. Your dimensional expectations will therefore be met.

Our HP Multi Jet Fusion printer consists of 2 separate but complementary components:

The first is the “printer” that creates your prototypes, where a first arm deposits a layer of white PA powder, a second arm deposits the black ink with contouring agents (details) enabling the fusion to be more or less strong, thus granting greater precision, smooth surfaces and sharp edges.

The second is the cooling and de-welding station.
